If a student cannot maintain at least a 70% grade in this class, he or she will be removed from the staff and placed in another class 2nd semester.
    Absences:
Missing this class is not only detrimental to your learning but also possibly detrimental to the $75,000 (roughly) product we are charged with creating. The bottom line in most businesses is that if you call in sick too often, you’re shown the door. The same must go for this class. If you are frequently absent—excused or not—you may be placed on staff probation. If your attendance does not improve during the next quarter, you may be shown the door. I write “may” because sometimes there are circumstances beyond your control. If this is the case, deal with your absences responsibly (contacting adviser, making alternate plans, still meeting deadlines. Bottom line: JUST BE HERE!

    Week 6 Discussion
I agree with the idea of moving art, and interviews. Having strait facts in a presentation seems a little black and white and boring. It will not keep the attention. Also if the interviews were of both sides of a controversy it would keep the interest. The moving art is fun and visually appealing. I hope to also include these in my own video once I figure out how to of course. I will not be able to have any videos with my chosen person because of how long ago she lived but maybe I can get a video interview of Stephen King talking about his own experience with the house and remaking her story.

    BLuntman1
You should put a video of Bill Cosby dancing or being silly because from what I remember, he did that often in his shows. I am excited to see your video! Will there be more videos or pictures? How are you going to find videos to put in your movie? So far, has it been easy or difficult to find stuff for your movie based on who you chose? And are you happy about who you chose?

    Week 6 Discussion
    1. How does my video capture the attention of the Nintendo age?
The video does not have much text, it is colorful and there is a voice at the same time of looking at pictures.

    2. What new ideas did you get from watching my video?
The ideas I got from watching were just generally how I was supposed to do my video and what a good video looks like.

    3. What suggestions would you have for me to better capture the attention of my viewers?
Add some more videos incorporate it with the pictures.

    4. How do you want to structure your multimedia presentation?
I want mine to be colorful, full of music, pictures, and my own voice.

    5. How can you incorporate your mind maps and timelines into your multimedia presentation?
The mind map and timeline helps me see where my video should lead and what information should be on there. The timeline helps me see things in order.

    Week 5 Discussion # 1
How does webspiration allow you to think visually? How does thinking visually relate back to the Marc Prensky article from last week?

Webspiration is a website that allows you to organize your ideas how ever you want to including colors, shaped and lines connecting things together. That is how it is visual. All of the bubbles and colors help you SEE your thoughts. Marc Prensky believed that education should move in the direction that kids are with the media, their learning styles are changing and to be effective websites like webspiration can be just as visual as anything else the students are watching. It has graphics, color, text and it goes all over the place.

    2. How is it possible that webspiration encourages collaboration? How is this process done?

Collaboration is achieved when students log on and share each others information adding and talking about their page that they made together.

    3. How do you save a document you are working on in webspiration? And, how do you find that document the next time you log in to they website?

There is no save button but you just log out. When you log back in, it shows a window that gives you the option of working on your page, or creating a new page.

    4. In what other ways could you see yourself using webspiration in the future? I would like two specific ideas for how and where you could use this online resource.

Webspiration could help me organize my writing ideas, and for presentations to future classes, and anything for organizing things.
